Travel Diary on May 1

A free shuttle bus took me to Kota Kinabalu international Airport. A driver told me about Mt.Kinabalu seen from the airport.

At the airport

I boarded an aircraft of Royal Brunei Airlines to Bandar Sri Begawan. After landing, I searched for a bus for BSB(Bus hub of the city). But, no bus was found. And, one of staffs at the airport told me the location of a bus stop near the airport. I walked to the bus stop with a Japanese girl who was also looking for a bus.
But, at the exit of the airport, A beautiful and slender Bruneian girl asked us "Where are you going?"
I answered "BSB!"
Then, she picked me up to BSB. What a kind girl she was!

After arriving at BSB, we intended to pay money to her, but she rejected.
At first, I exchanged money to Bruinei Doller. I ate lunch at Burger shops and hung out around the city.

I visited Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Brunei malay technology museum, and Brunei Museum. But, Brunei museum was closed due to renovation.

Abandoned facility near the museum

By the way, Brunei malay technology museum was so far from downtown of BSB, I tried to take bus there. Then, a vehicle stopped near me, and the driver invited me to ride his car.
As he said, I moved to BSB by it. The driver said "Few buses run along the road."
When I arrived near BSB, I tried paying money to him, but rejected. So, today, I took cars twice for free.

After that, I boarded a boat to Kampong Ayer to see the Water Village.

What impressed me was that bottles of Japanese tea named "綾鷹(あやたか)−急須でいれたような、にごりの旨み(Ayataka - tastes like tea poured from teapot)" were sold at a convenience store in the village.

I got back to downtown of BSB, and took bus for a hotel via the Mall in Gadong.
