I thought Preah Vihear temple might be claimed by both if the countries.
As the article says, the truth is that an adjacent 4.6-square-kilometre patch of land is claimed by Thailand.
The reason why I knew a little about that was my trip.
3 years ago, I went on a trip to Thailand and Cambodia. Then, I had to move from Bangkok to Siem Reap. I hesitated how to get to Siem Reap. While I checked safety around the border between the two, I found the existence of the disputing territory.
Though Preah Vihear temple is out of the main route between Bangkok and Siem Reap, I had to pass through Poi Pet, whose safety is bad, if I chose the route by land.
So, finally, I chose airplane to get to Siem Reap.
