It is interesting for me to hear that Hokkaido and are connected by the pipeline. Because there are some people who plan to construct railway between Hokkaido and Sakhalin, it can be said that this plan was replaced with the pipeline.
But, I wonder why the pipeline is needed to extend to Tokyo. At least, once the pipeline is extended to Aomori, there are many ways to transport crude oil to Tokyo.
