Construction of Sha Tin to Central Link of Hong Kong MTR began yesterday

the ground‐breaking ceremony of it was held.

The plan has been revised at least 4 times since KCRC*1's original proposal.
The line is from Sha Tin to Admiralty via Kai Tak and Hung Hom ,and will be divided into 2 sections. One (between Tai Wai and Hung Hom) will be a joint line of West Rail Line and Ma On Shan Line. The other (between Hung Hom and Admiralty) will be an extension section of East Rail Line.
After completion of the latter section, the line will be 4th line*2 connecting Kowloon peninsula and Hong Kong island.
