Hankai Electric Railway adopted a design of newly introduced rolling stocks

Sakai City announced the voting results of designs of newly introduced rolling stocks. The adopted one of the four is the design whose colors are green on upper side, whity brown on lower side ,and "Japan Metalic" in accent color.

Hankai Line between Yamatogawa and hamadera-ekimae ,owned by Hankai Electric Railway, is in Sakai City. The city plans to take measures of attracting customers. Because low floor vehicles have few steps and useful even for children or elderly people, they'll be introduced.
The number of the adopted design plan occupied abou half of the voting.
Green on upper side reminds us of ancient tombs, representatives of Japan
Whity brown on lower side reminds us of Sen no Rikyu and "Wabi*1", tradition and history of Sakai.
