My friend in my laboratory took part in a meeting to decide the contents of the camp. According to his statement, An assistant professor began to say "Half of the participants are from Japan , while the other half are from foreign countries. All the participants are required to give presentations in English."
I've already heard that the camp is to be held after an international academic conference, and that foreign people would be invited to the conference. But, I didn't know English skills are so inevitable.
I doubt Japanese particiants won't catch up with the speech delivered by foreigners.
