I guess almost all the readers know the news of Gaddafi's death. It was officially announced that Gaddafi was held by rebels and that he died soon.
I doubt humanitarian observation was done.
However bad he is, even if he would be worth being sentenced to death, he must be treated under humanitarian preservation as long as he shows no intention to resist. Whether he can live should depend on the judgement of the court in Libya.
If the rebels name themselves "National Transitional Council", thenew country should be a country with a constitutional government.
