On twitter, someone said "In winter, you'll smell kimchi in subway trains in Korea." But, when I've been in Korea, I smelled nothing in any trains. At first, I thought he was telling a lie to attract one's attention. But, after I replied my comment, he repeated the same opinion. And said "The one who has never visited Korea can understand my opinion."
Hmm, when I stood on Busan port, which is the first time of my visiting Korea, I didn't smell anything.
Judging from his attitudes, it seems true that it smelled like kimchi in the train. Because it becomes the social issue that more and more Korean people avoid eating kimchi with caring for odor, I thought kimchi's odor should not be a problem in public space.
