Because he was ill in bed two days ago, he was absent from a test on that day, he had to offer the teacher to take the alternative exam.
The teacher asked my friend whether he saw a doctor.
He replied "Not yet. I recovered from illness by commercial medicine."
The teacher said "Commercial medicine can't justify your absence. You may well see a doctor and receive your medical certificate."
Yesterday, he saw a doctor and received his medical certificate.
Today, he submitted it.
We often hear that we have to hand in medical certificates, when we absent from classes. But, this is the first time I hear that one did so actually.
