High speed trains are racing across the world. But not in America

One of the reasons why US doesn't have a high speed railway network would be lack of urban rail networks in medium size cities. If passengers get off at an intermediate station in a medium size city, they have no ways to get to their destination from the station.
So, building urban rails at the same time with high speed rails will be necessary for expanding high speed rails.
