‘Dinky’ train study recommends combined light rail and bus route

Seattle has a similar section between International District/Chinatown station and West Lake on Sound Transit. So, it won't be difficult for United States to install the combined light rail and bus route. But, I don't know if maintaining cost of the track is much higher than conventional track.
