Residents evacuated from Italian island Vulcano over carbon dioxide levels

It seems to be scary that people outside of the island cannot know what happens in the island until carbon dioxide sensor reacts the amount of carbon dioxide. But, it may be difficult to predict rapid increase of carbon dioxide before the sensor reacts.
