Japan is now puzzled with railways built long time ago. Structures of Shinkansen are not relatively serious. The most serious problem is those of conventional railways built nearly a hundred year ago. Everytime typhoon approaches Japan, these kinds of railways are easily destroyed by flooding or strong wind.
