It's difficult to find out Ryokan style hotel in Japan's urban area.
That's because hotels adopting that style have developed and remained around hot springs.
Long time ago, there would have been Ryokan styke hotels even in urban areas. But, they were replaced by modern buildings, because they can't compete with rising land price.
But, if it's possible to build Ryokan style hotel inside tall buildings like Hoshinoya, Ryokan style hotel will be able to revive in urbanized areas.
