A husband of my wife's acquaintance's acquaintance once said that every transportation driven by strangers is not worth trusting its safety. I agree with him to an extent, if it's as long as vehicles, bicycles, and any other transportation driven by individuals. When it comes to trains, buses, or airplanes, their drivers are highly skilled and have little possibility to cause accidents.
But, general cars or bicycles need no lisense or needs lisense which almost everybody can get. So, drivers of these transportations can be poorly skilled drivers. It's clear when we see how many pilots around the world and how many car drivers around the world. The former must be much smaller than the latter, and then, the former must be chosen severely.
We have to keep in mind that transportations which are easy for us to drive are most likely to hurt us.
