Amtrak orders Alstom trains for Northeast Corridor

Replacing Acela Express train sets with Alstom trains is one of the important step for Northeast Corridor.
But, the biggest problem of Acela Express is speed reduction caused by commuter trains running ahead on the same track.
So, in urban or suburban section of Northeast Corridor, there must be tracks only for high speed trains.
Basically, if train operators are willing to install high speed trains, they have to make sure of the following points.
・Whether or not conventional tracks have enough length of straight sections. If not, tracks for high speed trains must be constructed.
・If conventional trains run frequently(more than once half hourly), there must be tracks for high speed trains to avoid traffic jam.
