I doubted the title is not appropriate for explaining the situation. In the first place, Japan Restoration Party can be categorized into conservative parties?
First, Remember that the leader of the party reduced financial aid on Japanese puppet theater(bunraku). The policy is opposed to the features of conservative parties, which preserves traditions.
Second, the party aims at urgent reformations of governmental structures. I think it is the typical characteristic of reformists.

By the way, I can't support this party, because the party has ambiguous policies on how to ensure Japan's electricity supply.
