On the square in front of Ishibutai Kofun in Asuka village, Nara prefecture, Handmade Steam Locomotive began to run on March 7 and ended on March 8. The plan was arranged by "Mahoroba Railway"(Representative: Eizou Yazugawa), which consists of rail fans around Japan.
Around half past ten on the day, the first train departed. Though cherry blossoms weren't in full bloom ,and it was a chilly weather, all the adults and children cheered up when small steam locomotive "Asukaji" pulling 6 coaches with parents and children began to run slowly.
The train was operated until 7:00pm. Fare was 500 JPY(adult), 300 JPY(child)
