A supermarket near my university

A supermarket near my university sold rice balls for 35Yen!
A rice ball is often sold for more than 100Yen at ordinary convenience store.
But, the supermarket usually sells rice balls for 69Yen per each one. Furthermore, in the evening, I went to the supermarket with my friends. Then, one of them said to me "Rice balls are sold for half of the displayed prices!"
So, I decided to buy two rice balls without hesitating. After picking two rice balls up, I found it wasn't any merchandise on the rice ball department.

I thought the store would like to sell remaining merchandise for extremely discounted price rather than dumping.
