Walking around Hazawa-Yokohama-Kokudai.Sta

The station will be an intermediate station on Sotetsu-JR through Line and Sotetsu-Tokyu through Line.
The former line is estimated to inaugurate in 2019, the latter is in 2022.

So, the station is being constructed.
I visited the construction site today.

Why are they exotic?

Fascinating photos offer a rare look at Japan's past
edition.cnn.com

The word "exotic" seems to be interesting.
In the United States, it is used for Oriental things including Japanese style like the word referred to in the article.
On the other hand, in Japan, the English word is also used as Japanese word. But, its meaning is different from original one.
If you see Japanese citizen saying "Exotic", it means South East Asian, South Asian,or Middle Eastern style.

Though I don't know how the word became common in Japan, it might be used as the word meaing Oriental things except for ones which are familiar with Japanese.
So, to maintain the meaing of "foreign" and "Oriental", the word would have meant "South East Asian, South Asian,or Middle Eastern style".

Why doesn't it proceed in a straight way?

Because of conflicts between North and South lasts more than half a century, many people are still skeptical about peace treaty between them.
It's also for President Trump. He has experienced so many kinds of difficult negotiations on transactions of real estate that he pays as much attention as he can to the deal.
But, because of his obnoxious character, I'm concerned that his excessively intimidating statements would divert them into bad mood.
Both Korea will have to tolerate with negotiations in a long way.

Nanjing Metro Lines S7 and extension part of S1 opened

After opening these sections, Lukou International Airport became the intermediate station.
When we consider that recent airports in East Asia are built in suburbs located more than 30km from its central city, it seems to be rare case to extend rail lines from an airport to suburban direction.
It only happens in rapidly growing cities.

Why is it important for Malaysia?

www.railwaygazette.com

More and more diesel locomotives will be replaced with newly manufactured DMU. I've already known that brandnew EMU are gradually installed outskirt of Kuala Lumpur. But, it's the first time for me to know that similar trend is happening even on unelectrified routes.
I guess it's a symbolic event for Malaysia, because renovation of rural infrastructure is a big step for the developed country.

Why is it hard time for New York Subway?

Fast Forward plan seeks to renew the New York Subway
http://www.metro-report.com/news/infrastructure/single-view/view/fast-forward-plan-seeks-to-renew-the-new-york-subway.html

New York Subway was once famous for an unsafe metro system. But, it's been under improvement recently.
But, it's still far from world's standard. For example, most of the stations on New York Subway don't have electric signage informing us of the upcoming trains' timetable.
There will be a long way for them to renovate whole the infrastructure.

Why is it legitimate?

In Budapest, a railway run by children
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/gyermekvasut-budapest-railway/index.html

The biggest question I have about the article is why children can work legally. In most countries, children are forbidden to work. (Actually, some children in lower socio economic standing countries are working to make up livings)
But, explicitly, Hungary is not the case.
Are they working as volunteering staffs?
