Just criticizing job loss can't solve the source of the issue. I guess the biggest reason is that there is no reason for companies to hire employees with high salary. Every company wants to lower wage by offering job to people in developing countries where average income is lower than US's.
But, we have to pay attention to the fact that there are still special jobs which can only be done by Americans. Those jobs would deal with the latest technology that is so important that authorities want to avoid leakage.
So, the best way to protect US job is to grow human resources who are enough talented to create new technology.
I think educational reformation is mandatory for United States as the first step.
