Why did they choose Siemens?

I thought that conventional trains will also be used on the extended sections. But, according to the article, new trainsets will be supplied by Siemens.
That may be because conventional trains and trains on BTS are also supplied from Siemens.
Siemens seems to ensure its share in Bangkok Rail Systems.

Why is it a chance to be caught by shower?

China's 'sponge cities' aim to re-use 70% of rainwater
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/09/17/asia/china-sponge-cities/index.html

In developing countries, rainwater often mixes with sewage. For example, in Philippines, I've seen slum area was sinking in flooding.
It's important to launch a system to purify appropriate amount of rainwater and to ensure the huge space to store them as appropriate status.

To supplement the function of Sānxiá Dam, which provide water for Shanghai, it's better to use rainwater.

Why don't you think about color combinations which are not visible for colorblind people?

Island of the Colorblind': Where the jungle is pink, the sea is gray and the light is far too bright
http://edition.cnn.com/style/article/sanne-de-wilde-island-of-the-colorblind/index.html

Barrier-free policy for colorblindness has recently been recognized.
For example, red letters written on blackboard is not visible for color blindness child.

But, I think that courtesy to those people should be limited in the range that they can spend their daily lives without inconvenience.
For example, if artists are told to use limited color combinations to consider colorblindness, it means to disturb creativity of the artists.

What we should do is to expand courtesy to colorblindness people and to judge the situation it is really needed.

Why is joint venture benefitable?

Singapore LTA awards Circle Line 6 civils contracts

Joint Venture of construction companies is common in Japan. One of the benefits is that newly participating companies will be able to build trust by completing construction with conventional construction companies.
In this case, China State Construction Engineering Corp or Nishimatsu Construction Co would like to create trust in South East Asia?

Why are they rushing to Bitcoin?

IF YOU BOUGHT $5 OF BITCOIN 7 YEARS AGO, YOU’D BE $4.4 MILLION RICHER
http://financejp.dailynews.ovh/index.html?a=99420&chm_sub6=007d5bdae84ea9f865307ba5e95aa29dda&chm_sub7=CNN&chm_ts=1505471414&chm_bannerId=50000&chm_zoneId=7771

A coworker of mine once said "I'm interested in Bitcoin. And, I would like to launch a company!"
He opened a shop to cure eyes only to close it within a few months, due to lack of money.

Bitcoin seems to be a way to lure money from people who want to be rich and aren't familiar with social systems.
One of the features of Bitcoin is that it's not centralized. But, in other words, it means worth and usability of Bitcoin can be distorted by anyone who controls Bitcoin.
When a lot of people want to earn money by investing Bitcoin, it won't be worthwhile investing.

Why is that the world's longest escalator?

See Hong Kong using the world's longest outdoor escalator system
http://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/hong-kong-worlds-longest-escalator-system/index.html

The world's longest escalator, the article says, is divided into many sections. In other words, they are assembly of neighboring escalators.
Then, where is the longest escalator that is a discontinuous one?

Why don't they want to see salary?

What happens when women know how much other women make
http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/12/pf/women-pay-transparency/index.html

In Japan, getting to know others' salary is considered to be impolite, and wage gap between empolyees in the same age is not preferred.
In many companies, it is rare to see wage gap between the empolyees who began to work at the same time and have worked for less than 3 years, even if their abilities are different each other.
So, if talented people know their wage, they will be disappointed.
