Construction of Chang An Station, which is the last section on viaducts began. Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen intercity railway is one of the main routes in pearl delta area. From Guangzhou Xintang to Shenzhen Airport, it's 76 km long. After opening, it will be connected with Guangzhou Dong Station on Guangzhou - Shenzhen Railway. 15 stations(10 on viaducts, 5 underground) are on the most important railways in pearl delta area.
After genuine opening, it will be operated as subway like 6 cars with up to 1200 passengers.
During peak hours, trains will run at the interval of 5 mins. Train frequency is the same as subway. It runs along inconvenient area in Guangzhou, Dongguan ,and Shenzhen. Though construction time is so short, Chang An Station will be built in 10 days by disrupting roads around the station.
Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen intercity railway is expected to connect other intercity railways.
