Why is Tokyo 2020 under crisis?

Olympics should be postponed, says CEO of USA Swimming
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/20/us/olympics-postpone-usa-swimming-trnd/index.html

Coronavirus is not the only factor that hinders Tokyo Olympic Games.

At the beginning, the chairperson of Japan's Olympic Committee(JOC) was suspected to have given bribe.
JOC collected electronic devices to ensure materials of the Olympic medals.
A man died because of overworking in construction site of the Olympic Stadium.
JOC tried to collect volunteers for highly skilled jobs.
During the last summer, polluted seawater mixed with sewage turned out to be the place of triathlon.
Because of high temperature, venue of Marathon was relocated to Sapporo.
Sacred fire vanished due to strong wind, when it arrived in Japan.

What's the next one?

Why do they need high speed metro?

Seoul GTX Line A train contract awarded
https://www.railwaygazette.com/traction-and-rolling-stock/seoul-gtx-line-a-train-contract-awarded/56078.article

High Speed Metro is a new trend in South Korea. Though its capital city of Seoul has been devoted to building subway lines or supplemental Light Rail system, most of the city is now covered by rail networks. So, it's time to extend railways toward outer side of Seoul. But, longer travel time would deteriorate the demand of building new houses.
Then, High Speed Metro was invented. I thought that express trains on conventional lines would play the similar role. But, they might have been insufficient.

Why it's Osaka?

World's most expensive cities to live in
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/worlds-most-expensive-cities-2020/index.html

It's strange for me to find that Osaka is the 3rd expensive city to live. That's because Japan has been suffering from deflation for more than 20 years. Surely, the city may be recovering by surging demand of tourists from overseas except for the current season after outbreak of COVID-19.

Why are they running on suburban lines?

Cádiz tram-train testing underway
https://www.railwaygazette.com/urban-transport-news-from-metro-report-international/cadiz-tram-train-testing-underway/56025.article

One of the biggest weak points of tram systems would be slower speed. So, in order to minimize its weakness and remove troublesome transferring, it would be effective to make trams run through suburban rails.

Why wasn't there an entrance?

Mysterious Ice Age structure made from hundreds of mammoth bones discovered in Russia
https://edition.cnn.com/2020/03/16/world/ice-age-mammoth-house-russia-scn/index.html

As far as I can imagine, bones of mammoth were used to discourage wild animals from entering the circle. That would be why there was not an entrance.

Why can this tour be embarrassing?

For the first time ever, travelers can join an expedition to the deepest spot in the oceans
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/marianas-trench-challenger-deep-dive/index.html

I've heard about hadal research from a professor who were doing research on it. He said crews of the submarine have to spend in the narrow space so long that they were told to defecate or urinate into a plastic bag. I don't know whether it's also true in this submarine for sightseeing.

Why don't we focus on timetable revision?
