Since European countries became the symbol of wealth, advanced technology, and the latest fashion, caucasian people, who occupy majority of Europe, are likely to be ideal figures.
Not only in India, but also in East Asia, fair skin is favored especially
among women.
At least in Japan and Korea, we often see ladies praising how fair their friends' skins are.
