As I wrote here a few months ago, medium speed rolling stocks manufactured by China are likely to be sold in developing countries. Though Malaysia is recently escaping from developing countries, the railway company in the nation bought trains from CRRC for trains on meter gauge line.
Since long distance passengers will be shifted from KTMB's conventional lines to high speed rail after inauguration of Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail, KTMB seems to focus on commuter service for passengers riding trains in shorter distances.
I'm looking forward to seeing exterior of high speed trains which will be deployed on Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail.
