BART is the suburban train networks around San Francisco.
When I visited San Francisco, I wished there BART would be extended to San Jose.
As I expected, according to the Wikipedia page, BART seems to be extended to San Jose. The extension from Fremont to Warm Springs / South Fremont is the first step for extension.
If high speed rail opens between San Francisco and Los Angeles, SF and San Jose will be connected with 3 railways; Caltrain, BART, and California high speed rail.
It looks like revival movement of Pacific Electric, which was the biggest urban rail company in West US.
