2018 will be the year of the electric car

Judging from energy conversion rate, it's not good to use full type electric cars. Surely, hybrid cars, which regenerate electricity by brake and partly use electricity for acceleration, are better than internal combustion cars.
When generating electricity in power stations, fuel's energy is partly converted into electricity, remains are heat in vain.
When transmitting electricity by catenaries, part of electricity is lost by electric resistance of the catenaries.
Even after reaching charging point of EV, not all the electric energy is converted into power energy.
Considering all the processes, electric vehicles use just 8% of crude oil energy.
So, generalization of the electric cars should be postponed after oil-dependent society.
