United Kingdom seems to be generous to the independence of domestic region, which is contrasted with East Asian countries.
In China, Chinese communist party tries to oppress the movements for independence of domestic regions. Especially, the government pays attention to independence of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, and Uygur.
In Japan, independence of Okinawa is not welcomed by most of the Japanese. And, some people in China and Taiwan don’t admit sovereignty over Okinawa by Japan.
The common sense occupying over East Asian countries is “It must be ashaming or leading to destruction of their countries for them to lose their territories".
