'Stalker' college official held for killing colleague in Japan

Citation: http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/asia-news-network/story/stalker-college-official-held-killing-colleague-japan-20121001

It is difficult for me to understand the article.
According to the article,
" A senior Kyoto university official has been arrested for allegedly killing a staff member of the same university "
So, the victim seems to be a staff member of Kyoto University.

But, another sentence says
" Yuichi Amano, deputy head of the education and research promotion centre of Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts, allegedly stabbed 36-year-old Koji Arakawa"
So, the victim was a staff member of Doshisha Women's College.

After I read the sentences many times, I realized that the reporter had treated Doshisha Women's College as Kyoto university in the meaning of a university in Kyoto.

I wonder the reporter didn't know the existence of Kyoto University.
