Why don't they know "Discrimination is the last thing we should do"?

money.cnn.com

It's not what private companies should do, but public education agency should do. "Do not discriminate those who have different race , different ethnicity, different sex , different household income, different hair・・・from yours" is what you should learn in elementary school.
It's interesting that there are many people who can deal with difficult tasks, but cannot keep such a fundamental morale.
Their motivation to discriminate different groups would be self-confidence that their group must be superior to the others.
They should behave more modestly and think everything about objective viewpoints.
That's the first step to realize peaceful world.

Why is it difficult to make use of new mine?

Mud in this small Japanese island could change the global economy
https://edition-m.cnn.com/2018/04/16/asia/japan-rare-earth-metals-find-china-economy-trnd/index.html

Even if enormous amount of rare earth metals are found deep in ocean, it doesn't mean that it's usable at the same time. It depends on how difficult it is to dig them out. If it's so difficult that it costs much more than digging than out from current mines, it is in vain.

But, we can expect development of technology to reduce mining cost.
It is too early to ignore the new mine.

Why will the city be separated?

Why is Sydney being split into three cities?
https://edition-m.cnn.com/2018/04/12/asia/sydney-three-cities/index.html

It's the first time for me to hear the city that want to split it into a couple of cities.
I've heard a lot of opposite examples like unified twin cities after expansion of each metropolitan area.

There are enormous examples of them, Tokyo-Yokohama, Seoul-Incheon, Delhi-New Delhi, Dallas-Fort Worth and so on.

It's interesting for me to see how Sydney will be separated into 3 cities.

Why are reserved trains popular in Japan's metropolitan area?

(Translation)
Reserved seating system will be installed on an intermediate one car of the 5 trains on Tokyu Oimachi Line during weekdays
dia.seesaa.net

Tokyu Corporation announced reserved seating system will be installed on Tokyu Oimachi Line. The service will begin in winter of 2018.
The trains will be Express trains bound for Nagatsuta departing from Oimachi during night time(From 19:00 ~ 23:00).
One car of the latest 6020 series trains will be replaced with a car having convertible seats from long coach arrangement to box seats arrangement.
40 seats will be furnished on the car. The other 6 cars will remain as they are.
Details like fee, ticketing system, or reserved sections will be announced after internal agreement.
Though reserved trains have already run on Tokyu Line as S-TRAIN, it's the first time for Tokyu to operate trains with reserved seats by their own rolling stocks.
On the other hand, mid-term plan of Tokyu Corporation didn't refer to this service at all.

Reserved seating system became popular among private railways around Tokyo.
It enables passengers to be seated with additional fare and railway companies can earn additional fee.

Why do they want to grow veggies in urban?

edition.cnn.com

Urban gradening would be better in terms of the following reasons.
・It will contribute to reduction of carbon deoxide
・In tropical cities, it will cool down rooftop temperature, and then cause to reduce energy consumption by air conditioning
・plants will be grown more rapidly because of high concentration of carbon deoxide

But, because of narrow space, urban gradening tends to be less cost-effective. It means vegetable harvested in urban rooftop is not competitive with conventional vegetable from countryside.
The next stage that we have to think about would be how to reduce cost o grow vegetable in urbanized area.

Why can we treat robots as human beings?

money.cnn.com

If a robot in front of you behaves like a man, what would you think about it?
Some people might think that "This robot must have a brain like animals! So, it must have emotion."
But, that mindset is false. Even if these robots can deal with much more difficult tasks, it won't be a humane brain as far as their movement is just the result of calculation and algorithm.
Rather than that, we have to constitute laws to take measures for misuse or abuse by criminals.

Why didn't I come up with this?

Upgraded Ankara suburban rail line reopens
http://www.metro-report.com/news/suburban-commuter/single-view/view/upgraded-ankara-suburban-rail-line-reopens.html

I'm surprised at the fact that there is a 6 tracks section near Ankara.
I've posted list of world's longest quadruple tracks below.
http://special-rapid223.hatenablog.com/entry/20160717/1468800093

Then, I didn't notice that there would be quadruple sections in Turkey, just because even the biggest city of Istanbul don't have quadruple track sections.
If the there will be extension of suburban rail around Ankara, the quadruple track section will be listed on "world's longest quadruple tracks"
