Why did I meet Portland Madam?

Portland welcomes contactless ticketing
http://www.metro-report.com/news/technology/single-view/view/portland-welcomes-contactless-ticketing.html

About 3 weeks ago, I met a madam from Portland. The reason why I had a chance to speak to her was that she didn't know how to go somewhere in Tokyo and asked me the way.
She talked about the red line of Portland, inside of which most of the people are allowed to live ,and outside of which people working in agriculture can live.
Its purpose is to make the city compact.

Owing to its policy?, Portland tram can cover the portion of transportation to an extent ,and can afford to install this system?

Why is he making enemies?

President Trump says that the government will not 'accept or allow' transgender individuals to serve in the U.S. military
https://twitter.com/spectatorindex

It may cause two disasters.
The one is that it will accerelate discrimination against LGBT.
The other one is that current military men who are in charge of hardest serivice may declare that they are transgender to flee from military service.

We have to be careful of radical politicians who are seeking "common enemies" to share emotion with general people.
In this case, transgender became the common enemy for Trump.

Why isn't that dictatorship criticized?

Controversial Singaporean graphic novel wins 'Oscars' of comic world
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/07/25/arts/sonny-liew-eisner-singapore/index.html

I guess why few people criticize dictatorship of People's Action Party, the Singaporean party in power, is that richness of almost all the people in Singapore are not prevented by the political system.
Singapore has grown up economically and has been recognised as the would's safest place under the current regime.

So, there is not a reason to blame the system. But, if the party begins oppression against citizens, it's not the case.

Why complimentary inflight meal is declining?

Watch your waste: The problem with airline food and packaging
http://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/airlines-cabin-waste/index.html

Pre-order system would be effective, if it's done on short distance flights with cheap meals.
What do you think, if airline carrers want to sell food on board with rip-off prices?
Some people may bring foods which are available with less money. Then, total weight of each airplane would be heavier than usual.

So, the best way to make airplane lighter is to install pre-order system, and to serve it with cheap enough to discourage passengers to bring food onto flight.

Why do we have to work harder?

Japan stadium worker's suicide was 'death by overwork' say parents

http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-olympics-tokyo-stadium-death-idUKKBN1A51C6

I've heard that many Japanese people in 50's had worked more than 200 hours of overtime per month, and most of them were not paid.
After the issue of overtime working unveiled, most of the companies have been paying attention to comply labor law and urge employees to restrict overtime work.
But, among construction companies, it seems to be common to violate the law.
I guess the reason is that many people from gangsters are engaged in construction companies. they don't feel sorry for ignoring the labor law.

I think that labor unions should focus on monitoring dubious companies like this.
